Meet the Band
Pat Suddeth: Lead Vocals
After years of playing with local bands in the Greater Louisville area, Pat gave his life to the Lord five years ago. He is now using his singer/songwriter talents to bring Glory to God. Pat is married with three sons.

Jay Doss—Bass Guitar
Jay is married with four sons and one daughter. He splits his time between Through the Storm and playing praise and worship at his home church. Jay first followed his dreams of music playing in secular bands, but has found his calling in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Mark Doss—Drums
Mark has been playing drums all his life. He is married with three sons. Mark is definitely the comedian of the group, making sure everyone is laughing all the time.

Shawn Doss—Lead Guitar
Shawn gave his life to the Lord eight years ago and has never looked back. He too splits his time between Through the Storm and playing praise and worship at his home church. Shawn is the youngest brother Doss and is married with two sons.
Jamye Underhill - Rhythm Guitar
Jamye has only been playing guitar for about 2 years, but it is obvious that this is where God wants him.  Jamye spends his free time with his son and coaching for the local youth football league.
OUR FAITH
My God, My God, Why have You abandoned Me?  These words begin Psalm 22...They were spoken at the cross… And they are so hard to understand. How could our Loving God abandon His Only Son just when Jesus needed Him most? The answer, though sometimes hard to grasp, is simple: He is The Almighty, He is Righteousness, He cannot be associated with sin. The result of sin is separation from God. To save us, Jesus had to become our sin. God had to separate Himself. Imagine the sin of the entire world from beginning to end.  Every lie...Every murder...Every perversion...Every addiction… The death shroud for The Son of God.  The Bible tells us that Jesus felt as if He might die under it’s crushing weight, and that it put Him under such stress that He actually sweat blood. The result of sin is separation from God. To save us, Jesus had to become our sin. Remember, for a moment the crucifixion. Beyond the rejection of His people, beyond the beatings, beyond the nails, beyond the thirst…(He no doubt suffered all of these and never uttered a word) But beyond these is: My God, My God, Why have You abandoned Me?  Of all the horrors Jesus faced that day, this was what made Him cry out in agony: separation from God. There He was, the Perfect Son of God, feeling every emotion that comes from being lost in sin: Fear, sadness, shame, vulnerability; and now for the first time He is alone. How tortured God must have felt separate from Him. How afraid Jesus must have felt hanging there all alone. The result of sin is separation from God. To save us Jesus had to become our sin...and He had to bear it’s consequence...and He had to do it alone. To Jesus even a moment outside of the presence of our Heavenly Father was unbearable. But what about to you? Are you feeling alone and afraid? So heavily burdened that you don’t know if you can take another breath? Jesus has said, “Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavily burdened and I will give you rest.” We encourage You to take rest in Him.  The Bible teaches us that there is no sin so great that it was not carried to the cross. And though there is no way around the cross, you must only believe to receive the gift. We urge you to consider submitting your heart to Him tonight, so that you may be born anew: No longer of the flesh, but of the Spirit.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17

Sinner's Prayer
Dear Lord, I realize that I am lost in my sin.  I know that You sent Your Son, Jesus, to die for my sin and I accept His gift and the truth that He is the only way to You.  Please forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and help me to live a life for You.  Today I make You my Father, and I ask that You make me Your child.

If you said this prayer, then we would like to welcome you into the Body of Christ.
